SR Technics, an MRO service provider based in Switzerland, announced that it has signed a contract with Edelweiss Air, the Swiss leisure airline, to upgrade the cabin experience on four of the carrier’s A340-300s. All work will take place in the MRO’s Center of Excellence for Cabin Modifications in Zurich over the next two years.

The MRO company said that the first of the four aircraft arrived at the SR Technics facilities in October 2016, and it took off after 37 days of refurbishment to Cape Town. During the project, the aircraft went through a complete interior redesign including the installation of new seats, galleys and also new/ modified lavatories. In addition, the aircraft will feature Panasonic eXLite inflight entertainment system.
