Russian STLC agrees to finance up to 50 Il-114s
The State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) has signed an agreement with Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA), part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), regarding the supply of up to 50 Il-114-300 aircraft, the deal, according to RNS, was signed during MAKS -2017 Air Show in Moscow.
The parties agreed to hold a number of joint meetings to discuss the issues of promotion and sale of aircraft, organizing negotiations with airlines, terms of delivery, financing, delivery terms, pricing and payment.
Until the end of 2017, a preliminary supply contract must be agreed for subsequent leasing to the airlines.
The Il-114-300 program provides for partial state financing: funds from the federal budget will be invested in the authorized capital of the leasing company, the STLC notes in its statement.
The decision to launch the modernization program and restart the serial production of the regional passenger IL-114-300 aircraft was made following a meeting on the development of aircraft construction in Sochi in May 2016.
The IL-114 aircraft is intended for the replacement of imported aircraft of similar class (ATR-42, ATR-72, Q400) and old types of An-24 / AN-26 aircraft on domestic routes. Starting in 2021, it is planned to begin deliveries of serial aircraft certified according to the rules of aviation rules AP-25, equipped with a TV7-117SM engine. From 2023 it is planned to supply an aircraft with a more powerful TV7-117ST engine.
