Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) is resuming operations following closure since November 27, 2017 caused by the ongoing Mount Agung volcanic eruption on Bali Island, Indonesia. However, it might be forced to close again as the danger level remains high.

Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) lowered the volcanic eruption alert to level 3, permitting the Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) to reopen, while Lombok airport on neighboring island remains closed because of the ash emitted from the ongoing Mount Agung volcanic eruption.

However, since the volcanic ash and debris eruption is ongoing, Bali airport might be closed again if the wind changes direction, BBC points out.
