Avia Solutions Group seals the deal, buys Chapman Freeborn
Avia Solutions Group has added Chapman Freeborn Group by acquiring a 100% of its shareholding, the company has announced on October 15, 2019. With this acquisition, Avia Solutions Group now has an ownership of 110 companies in 32 countries and employs approximately 5000 professionals.
Chapman Freeborn, a company specializing in aircraft charter solutions, will maintain its existing product portfolio and continue to operate under the group’s existing brands. The same applies to Chapman Freeborn’ subsidiaries Chapman Freeborn Airchartering, Chapman Freeborn OBC, Intradco Cargo Services, Logik Logistics, Magma Aviation, and Wings 24.
Chapman Freeborn’s areas of expertise include arranging the delivery of time-critical shipments, heavy and outsize equipment, humanitarian goods, and other types of freight.
Meanwhile, Avia Solutions Group, aviation holding company with 76 subsidiaries, is engaged in aircraft maintenance, ACMI, aircraft leasing, pilot training, ground handling and fueling, logistics, aviation IT solutions and business aviation.
The companies signed the acquisition agreement on June 14, 2019 and have since obtained all customary approvals. The revenue of the new group is expected to reach €1 billion in 2019, Avia Solutions Group expected back in June.
