Fuel truck hits two Bombardier CRJ900s in Texas
A fuel truck struck two Mesa Airlines Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets in Dallas, Texas (the United States), damaging both aircraft on November 25, 2019.
Two Bombardier CRJ900s belonging to Mesa Airlines were damaged during an incident on November 25, 2019, as identified in the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) accident and incident notification, issued the following day.
Both aircraft were struck by a fuel truck while being at the gate. The vehicle damaged one plane’s right-wing and the other’s left-wing.
No injuries were reported. During the incident, there were two crew members onboard one of the aircraft, and 62 passengers and one cabin crew member on another one, is pointed out in the notification.
Images of the incident show the truck coming to rest with the left-hand wing-tip of one CRJ piercing through the cabin of the vehicle.
Mesa Airlines is an American regional airline that operates flights on behalf of United Express and American Eagle. The aircraft involved in the incident featured the latter’s livery. American Eagle is the regional branch of American Airlines (A1G) (AAL) .
