Emirates July 2020 network grows to 52 destinations
Emirates plans to restart flights to Cairo, Tunis, Glasgow, and Malé, bringing its network to 52 destinations in July 2020. The airline is actively expanding its recovering network after Dubai’s announced the impending reopening for business and leisure travelers.
Emirates would offer connections between the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas through its Dubai hub, the Gulf carrier announced on June 29, 2020.
Three days prior, the airline was already planning to operate to 48 destinations, as it announced the resumption of flights to Khartoum, Amman, Osaka, Narita, Athens, Larnaca, and Rome on June 26. On June 24, it revealed that the carrier’s flagship Airbus A380 would return on two routes to Europe, Paris and London, while the rest of destinations in the continent would be served with a smaller Boeing 777.
The vast network expansion follows the Dubai government’s announcement that it would be opening to business and leisure visitors from July 7, 2020.
