AerCaribe An-32 suffers runway excursion, disintegrates on impact
An Antonov An-32A of AerCaribe cargo plane suffered a track excursion during landing at Iquitos International Airport (IQT), in Peru, on October 14, 2020. The aircraft broke off into several pieces. All crew members were able to evacuate.
The cargo plane, registration OB-2120-P, had taken off from Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM), in the capital city of Lima, with four crew members on board, two pilots, a mechanic, and a navigator.
As the flight was approaching its destination airport, the crew reported an issue with one of the landing gears, according to preliminary information. Upon landing, the aircraft drifted left of the runway and ended its course 100 meters (300 feet) from the track into vegetation where it caught fire.

Images posted on social media show that both wings broke off and that the fuselage was severed close to the wing root. The four crew members on board were injured but were able to evacuate the wreckage. They were transported to a nearby hospital. An investigation was opened to determine the reason for the runway excursion.
