Emirates flight attendant: what’s it like living in the city of the future?
Flight attendant at Emirates
Karla Bayson, the flight attendant at Emirates, shares her thoughts over her career in the aviation industry and tells what lesson she has learned during 7 years in the airline.
What’s it really like living in the city of the future?
I remember the day I landed in Dubai 7 years ago – one of the most innovative cities in the world. I was amazed at how everything is wider, larger, bigger, and taller. I call it the gigantic city within the desert. Dubai is such a beautiful city – a huge melting pot and land filled with opportunities.
But why did I choose to live in Dubai? The answer is simple…I landed my dream job as a flight attendant for one of the best airlines in the world. It has changed my life in so many ways. As I love exploring, meeting new people, and living life outside of a hotel room. I live for the solitude of long train rides, the rush of taking that perfect photo, hearing the stories of the people I meet along the way.
I’ve learned a lot over the past 7 years of flying. I learned about what truly makes me happy in life, I learned how to connect with all different kinds of people all over the world and learning about their culture.
