American Eagle flight AA3837 diverts to Green Bay

American Eagle Embraer ERJ-145, operating a domestic flight within the United States, had encountered an emergency and diverted to Green Bay on April 21, 2020. 

The aircraft, registration number N663AR, operated by Envoy Air on behalf of American Eagle, took off from Wausau Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) at 11:10 am UTC. It was carrying out the flight AA3837, which was scheduled to land in Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) approximately 45 minutes later. 

However, less than half-way into the flight, the pilots declared an emergency and diverted towards Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB), where the aircraft landed at 11:36 UTC. Unconfirmed reports on social media indicate the aircraft was met by Green Bay airport’s emergency services.
