Embraer and Japan Airlines agreed to extend the Flight Hour Pool Program for J-AIR’s E170s and E190s for up to ten years.

The agreement covers more than 300 part numbers for J-AIR’s entire E-Jet fleet. J-AIR, a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, currently operates 17 E170s and three E190s. The third E190 commenced its service in September 2016.

Prototype 20.003 will be used primarily to test flying qualities and evaluate how the aircraft handles in icing conditions.

Embraer's Flight Hour Pool Program provides a technical expertise and component service supply for E-Jet operators.
