Temporarily grounded Tornados ready to fly again
On the 8th of October, the German Ministry of Defence released a statement that all six Tornado jet fighters at Incirlik base in Turkey are now combat-ready. The military aircraft are used for surveillance purposes against the Islamic State (ISIS).
The six Tornado jets have been grounded on the 6th of October, after loos e screws were discovered is some important cockpit equipment. Germany-based Tornados with similar technical faults will be fixed shortly, according to the Defence Ministry’s spokesman.
