VietJet to list on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange on February 28
Vietnamese LCC Vietjet Aviation (VietJet) will list on the domestic Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange on the 28th of February 2017, according to the Stock Exchange announcement quoted by Reuters. The LCC’s shares will be listed at a starting price of VND 90,000 ($3.97) per share.
As previously reported, Vietjet expects to raise around $170 million in an initial public offering (IPO), which will value the airline at $1.2 billion.
The airline is now 95% owned by Vietnamese businesswoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao who established the LCC in 2007. The airline had its launch in December 2011, becoming the only private airline in Vietnam.
VietJet now operates 40-strong Airbus A320 fleet. It serves 23 domestic and 10 international destinations.
