Biman Bangladesh Airlines orders three Bombardier Q400s
Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the flag carrier of Bangladesh, orders three new Bombardier Q400 turboprops, the manufacturer announced on September 10, 2018.
The purchase agreement, worth approximately $106 million at list prices, is signed with the help of Canada’s government-to-government contracting organization − Canadian Commercial Corporation. The corporation is aimed to assist Canadian exporters sell goods and services to foreign governments around the world using a government-to-government contract mechanism.
“We are very excited about adding these Q400s to our fleet. We currently operate two Q400s and without hesitation, we can say that these aircraft are ideal for our domestic and regional operations,” A M Mosaddique Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, is quoted saying in a statement by Bombardier.
