Airbus delivers first A320neo to Scoot
Scoot, the low cost wing of Singapore Airlines (SIA1) (SINGY) , has taken delivery of its first A320neo, Airbus announced on October 8, 2018. The aircraft contains 186 seats and is powered by Pratt and Whitney Pure Power engines.
With the newest delivery, the SIA low-cost arm now operates 25 Airbus 320s (24 of which are A320-200s) and 18 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Plainspotters.net data also registers two Airbus A319s on lease operated by Scoot. As it is noted in a statement by Airbus, the carrier’s fleet is to increase by additional 39 A320neo aircraft under its fleet renewal programme.
