Breathtaking Moments From The Magical Red Bull Air Race World Championship In Budapest
Everyone knows that Red Bull Air Race is like aviation’s very own Formula One. Just like Formula One has Monaco – Red Bull Air Race World Championship has Budapest.
The event that happened on June 23-24 brought many moments of joy to the aviation race fans as well as lots of breathtaking sights to the ones that have nothing to do with the aviation industry.
The “spiritual home” for the Race – Budapest – held the race above the river Danube, which separates the two parts of the city: Buda and Pest.

Due to its spectacular views, the city combined with the Race brought many memorable sights.
The winner of the Budapest Air Race is Martin Sonka, a pilot from Czech Republic.

The next three Red Bull Air Races are confirmed to be in Russia, Austria as well as the United States in the next three months.
The Race is celebrating its 12th birthday this year as it was first started back in 2002. Due to the combination of high speed, low altitude and very extreme manoeuverability – this elite aerial event is only accessible to the world’s most exceptional pilots, making the event even more special and exclusive.

Along the years, the Red Bull Air Race World Championship is already one of the fastest and the most anticipated sports event in the world. The initial goal was to make this aerial Race as challenging as possible and looks like the goal was exceeded to say the least.
The racetracks are specifically designed for the occasion – they are inflatable pylons, which have been developed throughout the years. The pylons are made to withstand hits during the event and they can be repaired and re-inflated within few minutes time.
