On January 11, 2020, Southwest Airlines (LUV) crew found a written threat upon arrival at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). On board there were 101 passengers and crew members. All of them were evacuated.
Southwest Airlines (LUV) flight 2104 from Phoenix to Baltimore landed at BWI Airport around 5:10 PM. The law enforcement boarded the Boeing 737-8H4 (registration number N8302F) plane to investigate what an airport spokesperson called a “suspicious message.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, the aircraft was parked at a remote area of the airfield,” the airport said in a statement. “Passengers were offloaded safely from the aircraft onto shuttle buses and brought to the airport terminal.”
Later that day, Baltimore/Washington International Airport released a statement saying that law enforcement concluded their investigation and determined there was no credible threat. No injuries were reported.
