Nine airports across the United States will undergo airport cargo improvements as part of a $31M investment awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) from the 2022 Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Grants.
The FAA said the improvements at these airports will help expedite the movement of goods and strengthen supply chains throughout the country

“Every day, we rely on goods transported through our nation’s airports,” US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said in a statement.
Buttigieg added: “Today’s announcement will make improvements at airports across our country so they can handle cargo more efficiently and help strengthen America’s supply chains.”

Improvement works across the nine airports vary from taxiway rehabilitation to reconstructing cargo apron pavements and taxiway design improvements.
