Emirates will be honoring Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, on board its flights to Indian cities between October 23-28, 2022.
To celebrate Diwali, passengers traveling to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and the following cities will be treated to a selection of Diwali sweets and desserts:

Emirates said that economy passengers will be given a serving of traditional motichoor laddu (round shaped, chickpea-based delicacies) with their hot breakfast.
Meanwhile, first and business class passengers will be offered mixed nut tribooj garnished with edible silver leaves.
Dubai and Cape Town lounges
The airline also said that Diwali delicacies, such as dal kachori and vegetable samosas accompanied by tamarind or mint chutney, will be served in the first and business class lounges in Dubai. Motichoor laddus will be available alongside angoori rabdi, a fragrant dessert made with creamy cheese, sweetened with saffron-infused milk.
In Cape Town, where there is a considerable Indian population, the Emirates lounge will also host its own Diwali celebration. Passengers can feast on nankhatai – Indian shortbread cookies made with flour, sugar, and butter, and gulab jamun – decadent dough balls soaked with cardamom, rose water and saffron syrup.
