Air Canada is refreshing its in-flight bedding and amenities, introducing a new lineup across all cabins starting next month.
The update, announced July 15, 2026, includes upgraded duvets and pillows in Signature Class, larger blankets for Premium Economy and Economy passengers, and redesigned amenity kits built with two Canadian brands. The airline says the changes are part of a broader effort to help travelers actually rest during international flights, rather than just get through them.
Part of a bigger comfort push
Jacqueline Harkness, Managing Director of Products & Services at Air Canada, said the update grew out of direct conversations with customers about what would make flying feel more comfortable and restful. From the larger Economy and Premium Economy blankets to the new Signature Class duvets, she said, every item was chosen with that goal in mind.
“We’ve spent meaningful time with our customers, getting their perspective on what would make a flight more relaxing and restful,” Harkness said. “Then we went to work investing in high-quality products that deliver the very best that leading Canadian partners have to offer.”
Built with Canadian partners
Air Canada worked with Hunter Amenities, a Canadian hospitality company, to design and manufacture the new kits, with an eye toward making the contents useful well beyond the flight itself. John Hunter, the company’s founder, said that thinking shaped everything from the drawstring bag to the eye mask and socks inside.
The airline also partnered with Sahajan, a female-founded Canadian skincare company, to bring hydration products into the new Signature Class kits. Passengers in that cabin will find Sahajan’s Lip Karma balm and Hand Remedy cream, both made to counter the dryness that comes with time in the air.
Sahajan founder and CEO Lisa Mattam pointed to cabin humidity, often as low as 10 to 20 percent, as a major factor behind that dryness, particularly on hands and lips. She said the partnership gave the company a chance to bring its approach, blending clinical research with Ayurvedic tradition, to Air Canada’s international customers. Both Sahajan products are manufactured at Hunter Amenities’ facility in Burlington, Ontario.
What each cabin gets
Starting in August 2026, international travelers can expect the following:
Economy and Premium Economy: A new six-foot polar fleece blanket, sized to offer full-body coverage regardless of height.
Premium Economy amenity kit: A contoured neoprene eye mask, 3M hypoallergenic earplugs rated at 32 decibels of noise reduction, knitted cabin socks, and an antimicrobial bamboo toothbrush paired with Colgate toothpaste.
Signature Class bedding: A 145 gsm duvet designed for added softness and warmth, along with a new pillow filled with 16.5 ounces of AirFlow material for better breathability and support.
Signature Class amenity kit: A lightweight, adjustable eye mask built to fully block out light, Sahajan’s Lip Karma and Hand Remedy, the same 3M earplugs offered in Premium Economy, striped cotton-blend cabin socks, and a bamboo toothbrush with toothpaste and floss. The kit itself comes in a recycled cotton drawstring bag meant to be reused long after the flight.
