It’s half-time for Airbus, with the release of its latest commercial aircraft order and delivery figures providing a snapshot of its progress towards this year’s delivery target.
On July 8, 2026, Airbus confirmed that the planemaker had delivered 89 aircraft in June 2026, to 49 different customers.
With six months of the year complete and six more to come, Airbus has so far delivered 351 aircraft to 77 customers.
At the start of 2026, the company’s CEO Guillaume Faury said Airbus was looking to achieve “around 870” deliveries across the year.
With Airbus needing to make 519 deliveries this year, the company will need to deliver at least 86 planes a month, something Airbus proved this month it can do.
After delivering 81 aircraft in May and now 89 in June, Airbus appears to have hit its stride after delays caused by engine supplies and complications moving aircraft to China.
On July 6, 2026, Reuters reported that Airbus is increasingly confident it can hit its target and perhaps even reach 900 deliveries.
According to Reuters, the first six months of 2026 represent Airbus’ strongest first-half performance since 2019.
The last six months of the year are typically the planemaker’s most efficient, with December often seeing a huge surge in deliveries. In December 2025, Airbus delivered 136 aircraft despite no previous month that year exceeding 80.
In June 2026, China Eastern Airlines received seven A320neo family jets, while easyJet took delivery of five.
Other airlines that received multiple aircraft include IndiGo, Wizz Air, Spring Airlines, and Emirates.
Airbus also landed 71 gross orders in June 2026, including one for 16 A320neos and 24 A321neos from an undisclosed customer.
Singapore-based low-cost carrier Scoot ordered two A320neos and four A321neos. A private customer also ordered an A320neo.
