Airbus has delivered the first ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopter in Japan to NOT A HOTEL, a hospitality company known for its fractional-ownership villas.

The handover, announced on June 16, 2026, marks the arrival of a premium aircraft designed jointly by Airbus and British automaker Aston Martin. A second ACH130 Aston Martin Edition has already been ordered.

Flying guests to remote villas

The helicopter will be part of NOT A GARAGE, a mobility service NOT A HOTEL launched in 2025 to connect guests to its villa properties across Japan. Locations in Nasu, Kita-Karuizawa, and Minakami will all be reachable within an hour by air, cutting travel times and opening up destinations that might otherwise feel out of reach.

Hiromune Eto, Co-CEO of NOT A HOTEL, said the response to the service has been strong.

“Our mobility service NOT A GARAGE, announced last July, received over 200 inquiries from the very first day,” Eto said. “The ACH130 Aston Martin Edition fractional ownership slots have already completely sold out.”

The helicopter service is expected to launch in September 2026.

The ACH130 Aston Martin Edition: A blend of engineering and design

The ACH130 Aston Martin Edition is a special version of the ACH130, featuring interior and exterior styling created by Aston Martin and applied by craftspeople at Airbus Helicopters’ facility in Oxford, UK. The aircraft is aimed at owners who appreciate both flying and driving luxury sports cars.

Jean-Luc Alfonsi, Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters in Japan, said the delivery reflects growing interest in premium rotorcraft.

“This milestone reflects the extraordinary appeal of a helicopter that marries Airbus engineering excellence with the iconic design language of Aston Martin,” Alfonsi said. “NOT A HOTEL’s vision for redefining luxury hospitality is perfectly aligned with the ACH130.”

What NOT A HOTEL does

NOT A HOTEL operates a network of architecturally distinctive villas designed by well-known architects and creators. The company sells fractional ownership in the properties, allowing multiple owners to share access throughout the year.

NOT A GARAGE extends that model to transportation, letting customers share or purchase access to helicopters, cruisers, and other mobility options. The company says the goal is to connect land, air, and sea travel into a seamless experience.
