Alaska Airlines has named longtime executive Shane Tackett President and Chief Financial Officer, expanding his CFO role as Alaska Air Group continues integrating Hawaiian Airlines.
The appointment takes effect on June 29, 2026. Tackett will report to Alaska Air Group CEO Ben Minicucci and remain on the company’s executive committee.
Tackett will continue to oversee finance, fleet management, investor relations, supply chain, internal audit and information technology. He will also add responsibility for Alaska’s commercial organization, which is led by Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Harrison.
“Shane’s promotion to President of Alaska Airlines marks an important step as we continue investing in leadership capacity to execute our global ambitions and integrate Hawaiian Airlines,” Minicucci said.
Tackett has worked at Alaska for more than 25 years. He became CFO in 2020 and previously held senior roles in financial planning and analysis, revenue management, e-commerce, labor relations and strategy.
Alaska said Tackett has been closely involved in the company’s acquisition and integration of Hawaiian Airlines, as well as its Alaska Accelerate plan.
The move follows several other leadership changes across Alaska Air Group.
In September 2025, Alaska announced that Diana Birkett Rakow would become CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, succeeding Joe Sprague. The company also named Kyle Levine executive vice president, corporate and public affairs, chief legal officer and corporate secretary.
Later that month, Alaska named Jason Berry chief operating officer of Alaska Airlines, replacing Constance von Muehlen, who is retiring. The company also said Andy Schneider would become president and CEO of Horizon Air.
Alaska Air Group completed its acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines in 2024. The two carriers continue to operate as separate brands while Alaska works to combine operations, loyalty benefits, networks and back-office functions.
