Bombardier plans to build a new facility at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore, nearly doubling the footprint of its existing service center in the country.

The new facility, which was announced on June 9, 2026, will span approximately 250,000 square feet and represents a total planned investment of approximately SGD 100 million (US$78 million) by a local developer.

Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, with operations starting in the second half of 2028.

What the facility will offer

Once operational, the new site will complement Bombardier’s existing Singapore Service Centre and offer a broad range of services, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, avionics installations, and round-the-clock aircraft-on-ground support. It will also handle aircraft recompletion work such as paint and interior finishing, and house a Component Repair and Overhaul workshop to strengthen Bombardier’s parts servicing capability in Asia-Pacific.

The facility will also include a customer lounge and dedicated crew rest area.

The expansion is expected to create more than 200 highly skilled jobs over time. Bombardier’s existing Singapore operation currently employs over 300 local staff, including around 250 licensed engineers and technicians.

“Our Singapore Service Centre has long been a cornerstone of service and support excellence in Asia-Pacific, supporting approximately 2,000 aircraft annually as regional demand continues to grow,” said Paul Sislian, Executive Vice President of Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Aftermarket Services. “This expansion reaffirms our commitment to supporting customers close to where they operate.”

Bombardier’s third Singapore expansion since 2014

The new facility marks Bombardier’s third development in Singapore since 2014 and further builds on its position as the largest original equipment manufacturer business aviation service facility in the region. Bombardier also operates a service center in Melbourne, Australia and a jointly owned facility in Tianjin, China.

Alongside the expansion, Bombardier has joined A*STAR’s Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre as an anchor member to accelerate the use of digitalization, AI, and automation in its MRO operations.

Cindy Koh, Executive Vice President of Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB), said the investment will add new MRO and recompletion capabilities for next-generation business aircraft and further strengthen Singapore’s standing as a premier aerospace hub in Asia.

Christine Wong, Assistant CEO of JTC, which manages Seletar Aerospace Park, said that the expansion reinforces Singapore’s position as a leading business aviation hub while creating quality jobs and strengthening the country’s aerospace ecosystem.
