Delta Air Lines’ private jet partner Wheels Up has ordered six new Embraer Phenom 300E aircraft with deliveries scheduled in the second half of 2027.

On November 5, 2026, Wheels Up confirmed it is the first time ever that the company has ordered factory new aircraft directly from Embraer.

Wheels Up’s current fleet includes 29 Phenom 300/300E jets and 15 Bombardier Challenger 300 series aircraft.

“Embraer has been a valued partner to Wheels Up for years, and this agreement marks an important next chapter in that relationship,” George Mattson, CEO of Wheels Up said. “The decision to acquire factory-new Phenom 300Es reflects the strong demand trends we are seeing in our business and our commitment to investing in a consistent, premium experience for our customers.”

According to the private aviation operator, the order follows nearly three years of discussions with Embraer regarding the acquisition of new aircraft.

“This agreement marks an important milestone in our relationship with Wheels Up and reflects the work and planning that began in 2024 to bring new Phenom 300E aircraft into their fleet,” Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, said.

The six newly purchased Phenom 300E will arrive with satellite Wi-Fi already installed, matching Wheels Up’s Phenom and Challenger fleets, which already feature the technology.

In 2023, a consortium of investors led by Delta Air Lines finalized an agreement with Wheels Up to provide a $500 million credit facility to help bring financial stability to the company.

Delta Air Lines continues to be a strategic partner at Wheels Up and holds around a 36% stake in the company.

Wheels Up said that over the last three years it has “fundamentally reshaped its business, streamlining and modernizing its fleet, improving operational reliability, unifying its global sales and service teams”.
