Embraer has announced that it has sold 28 E190/195 E2 family aircraft to three different operators during the first two days of Farnborough International Airshow 2026.
The bulk of these aircraft will go to Abra Group (the parent company of Avianca and GOL Linhas Aereas and Wamos), which has ordered 20 E-195 E2 aircraft, plus 10 purchase options and 15 purchase rights, bringing the potential total to 45 aircraft. This order is subject to the fulfillment of certain unspecified conditions on the side of Abra Group.
Interestingly, the order follows an order for 74 E2 jets placed by Abra Group’s main competitor, LATAM Airlines, in 2025.
Binter, a Spanish regional carrier based in the Canary Islands and long-time E-Jet operator, has ordered another five E195 E2s. Binter will operate its E2 aircraft on routes linking the Canary Islands to mainland Spain and other European destinations. The aircraft will be configured with a single-class cabin fitted with 132 seats.
Luxembourg’s national carrier Luxair has converted three existing purchase rights for E190-E2 aircraft and secured additional purchase rights for yet another aircraft of the same type, as previously reported by AeroTime.
