Emirates is introducing its flagship Airbus A380 for the first time on flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).
On July 9, 2026, Emirates said that its Airbus A380 aircraft will operate on flights EK512 and EK513, a route currently served by the carrier’s Boeing 777s.
From October 25, 2026, Emirates customers will be able to choose between flying to Delhi on an Airbus A380 or a Boeing 777, both of which have a four-class configuration.
Emirates said that given the strong demand for travel to and from India, the airline wanted to expand its footprint with Delhi joining Mumbai and Bengaluru as the third A380 destination.
“Emirates’ long-standing commitment to India is reflected in the continued rollout of our latest products, designed to enhance the travel experience,” Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and CCO said. “We are pleased to introduce our highly anticipated A380 services to Delhi, a vital gateway in our network, from October.”
The carrier’s fleet of Boeing 777 will continue to fly between Dubai and Delhi on flights EK511, EK515 and EK517.
The announcement means that from October 2026, premium economy will be offered on flights to six Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi.
“We are also making our Premium Economy product more widely available across India to reach six gateways and close to half of our scheduled weekly flights,” Kazim added. “A host of other service enhancements are in the pipeline as a testament to our partnership with India and commitment to our customers.”
Additionally, from October 25, 2026, the daily Emirates service between Kolkata and Dubai, flights EK570 and EK571, will be served by the airline’s Airbus A350, instead of the Boeing 777.
“With flights EK572/573 operating five times weekly on a four-class retrofitted B777, Premium Economy will be available across all 12 weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai,” Emirates said.
