A Boeing 747-400BCF that previously flew for Saudia and EVA Air has joined Network Airline Management, becoming the company’s fifth ‘Queen Of The Skies’ freighter.
On August 3, 2026, Network Airline Management announced that a fifth Boeing 747-400BCF joined its cargo fleet in July 2026.
The Boeing 747-400BCF registered 9H-AKA, has a 31-year history having joined EVA Air as a commercial jet in 1995, before being configured as a Boeing 747-400M (combi) until 2009, according to Planespotters.net.
In 2009, the aircraft was again reconfigured entirely as a freighter for EVA Air and post-2019 flew for both Saudia Cargo and Air Atlanta Icelandic.
Now under NAM the Boeing 747-400BCF is operated by Air Atlanta Europe and has recently flown to N’Djamena International Airport (NDJ) and Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).
NAM confirmed that aircraft will operating out of its primary hub at Liege Airport (LGG) in Belgium.
“Welcoming our fifth Boeing 747 freighter into active service is another major milestone for Network Airline Management,” Jonathan Clark, CEO of Network Aviation Group, said. “The B747 remains the undisputed workhorse of heavy-lift air cargo and adding another converted freighter to our fleet allows us to keep pace with strong customer demand.”
He added: “This expansion directly enhances our flexibility, frequency and overall service delivery for our charter and scheduled service customers worldwide.”
With five Boeing 747 freighters now in active service, NAM said it will continue to “strengthen its strategic presence in key market offering tailored air freight solutions for complex freight requirements”.
NAM’s youngest Boeing 747 in its fleet is a 26-year-old former China Airlines cargo jet.
