Gol Linhas Aéreas has welcomed back a former company executive as its new CEO, with Celso Ferrer announcing that he will join Boeing as its new president for the Latin America and the Caribbean regions.
On August 13, 2026, following confirmation that Ferrer would be leaving Gol Linhas Aéreas, the Abra Group-owned carrier unveiled André Fehlauer as its new CEO as of September 2026.
Fehlauer returns to Gol, where he previously spent eight years as CEO of Smiles, the airline’s loyalty program, in Argentina and Brazil.
Most recently, Fehlauer has worked as the CEO of Livelo, a Brazilian loyalty program, as well as holding positions at Citi and Credicard.
“André’s appointment ensures continuity in Gol’s vision and leadership, keeping the customer at the center of the airline’s strategy as it enters its next phase of value creation, in synergy with the other airlines of the Abra Group,” the company said.
Additionally, Albert Perez, currently Gol’s CCO, will take on additional responsibilities as president of Gol Linhas Aéreas.
Ferrer has served as CEO of GOL Linhas Aéreas for the last four years, having joined the carrier in 2004 as an intern.
“Over more than 20 years with this company, I have had the privilege of growing alongside extraordinary people, sharing challenges, overcoming difficult moments, and celebrating achievements that have shaped the history of Brazilian aviation,” Ferrer said.
