JetZero has closed a $175 million Series B funding round, the Californian aerospace startup confirmed on January 13, 2026.

This latest round has been led by investment firm B Capital, with the investment arms of several major industry players, such as United Airlines Ventures, Northrop Grumman and RTX Ventures, also taking part. Other investors in this round include 3M Ventures and Trucks VC.

The fresh round brings the total of capital raised by JetZero close to half a billion dollars. In 2023, JetZero closed a Series A round for an undisclosed amount and was also allocated $235 million by the US Department of Defense to be used within a period of four years.

JetZero also claims to have received more than $1 billion worth of aircraft pre-orders and options, including from airlines such as United Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

The company aims to continue investing in the development of a blended-wing body (BWB) demonstrator and has reaffirmed its commitment to performing its maiden flight before the end of 2027.

While conventionally powered, the blended-wing body architecture could deliver efficiency gains of 30 to 50%, according to its proponents, and could also represent a revolution in terms of passenger experience.
