LATAM Airlines Brazil has presented its first freshly painted E195-E2 at the Embraer facility at São José dos Campos, São Paulo, ahead of the fleet introduction later this year.
On June 10, 2026, LATAM Airlines Brazil invited media representatives, including AeroTime, to the Embraer hangar, where the brand-new aircraft was unveiled.
Photos of the E195-E2 shared by LATAM Airlines Brazil were the first official images of the aircraft. The new Embraer E195-E2 is scheduled to join the rest of LATAM’s fleet in the final quarter of 2026.
LATAM Airlines Group announced a significant fleet renewal and expansion plan in September 2025, confirming an order for up to 74 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
The deal covers 24 firm orders with 50 options and is valued at around $2.1 billion at list prices, with the first jets to be flown by LATAM Airlines Brazil.
“We are further enhancing the versatility of our fleet to unlock new markets, expand existing operations, and optimize capacity to serve even more destinations sustainably” Jerome Cadier, CEO of LATAM Airlines Brazil, said.
The decision to introduce the Embraer E195-E2 marks a shift toward adding smaller, more flexible aircraft to complement its existing fleet.
The E195-E2 is the largest aircraft in Embraer’s E-Jet E2 family, seating up to 146 passengers in a single-class configuration.
According to LATAM Airlines Brazil, the livery design required “unprecedented adaptations” in the application of its brand identity.
“Due to the aircraft’s fuselage characteristics, LATAM chose to expand the display area of its visual identity, increasing visibility and brand presence along the fuselage,” a spokesperson for the airline said. “Decisions related to the aircraft’s paint scheme also considered operational and environmental criteria.”
They added: “The predominant use of white follows the standard adopted by LATAM because it contributes to lower heat absorption, weight reduction, and greater operational efficiency throughout the aircraft’s service life.”
