Toymaker LEGO has announced the launch of an epic 2,083-piece supersonic Concorde set and even confirmed when you can get your hands on one.

LEGO has been teasing fans for the last week with Instagram reels and posts, but on August 10, 2023, the anticipation was finally over when iconic company released details about this fantastic new toy.

Even after 20 years since it last flew, Concorde is still arguably one of the most loved and famous aircraft ever to have been built and flown.

This incredible jet was capable of cruising twice as fast as the speed of sound, which equates to a cool Mach 2.04.

Concorde could fly from London-Heathrow Airport (LHR) to New York in just three and a half hours.

Unfortunately, against the changing backdrop of aviation in the 1990s and early 2000s the giant supersonic jet was no longer financially viable.

However, with the launch of the LEGO Concorde a new generation will have the chance to see what a beautiful aircraft it was.

The 2,083-piece set is an accurate scale model of the airplane, that can be showcased in the home using the display stand, allowing the possibility to pose the brick-plane either in flight mode or tilted mode for take-off and landing.

The set is also rich in detail, with a removable roof to show off the opulent cabin interior, landing gear, as well as the nose and visor tilts.

The set is priced at $199.99 / £169.99/ €199.99 and is available to LEGO VIPs from September 4, 2023, and to all shoppers from September 7, 2023.

LEGO advise the Concorde set is only for those aged 18 and over and its dimensions are as follows:

Height: Over 6 in. (15 cm) Length: 41.5 in. (105 cm) long. Width: 17 in.
