An Embraer E170 operated by LOT Polish Airlines skidded off the runway while landing at Vilnius Airport (VNO) in Lithuania, temporarily halting operations on that runway.

The airport confirmed the incident in a statement on November 26, 2025.

“At 13:43 today, a LOT Polish Airlines aircraft arriving from Warsaw, conducting flight LO771, landed at Vilnius Airport and veered off the runway while taxiing to the stand,” the airport said.

Passengers were reportedly taken off the aircraft. Additionally, the runway at Vilnius Airport has been temporarily closed until 17:00 local time. Currently, flights to Vilnius Airport are being redirected to other airports.

According to Flightradar24 data, LOT Polish Airlines flight LO771, operated with an Embraer E170 registered SP-LDK, left Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW) at 12:01 local time on November 26, 2025, and landed in Vilnius at 13:42 local time.

Flightradar24 shows the aircraft on the north side of the airport. Several service vehicles, including a fire truck, can be seen at the end of the runway at the airport.

Initial reports suggest that there were no injuries among the passengers.

Although the airport has not confirmed why the plane veered off the runway, current weather conditions in the country indicate it may be due to heavy snow.

Snowfall started across Lithuania early on November 26, 2025, and is predicted to continue into the next day, according to local weather forecasts.
