A passenger demanded that the pilot of a flight departing from Chiang Mai Airport (CNX) in Thailand abort the takeoff because he reportedly left a bag in the terminal.

In a video captured by another passenger on the Thai Smile flight, a man can be seen standing in the aisle of the plane, demanding to return to the airport terminal.

Cabin crew aboard the Airbus A320 can be seen trying to calm the man down as the plane taxis towards the runway.

“If you still feel like this, we have to move you off the flight, so do you want to go? Or do you want to wait until Bangkok?” a flight attendant asks the man.

“Yes, yes, I want to go now, ask the captain,” the man replied.

In the footage the pilot can be heard apologizing to customers for returning to the terminal, but he explains that there was no alternative due to safety concerns.

Once the aircraft returned to the gate, the man is shown in the video departing the aircraft with airport officials.

It is understood that the misplaced luggage contained money and other important items.

The flight departed after a short delay and arrived at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK).
