Philippine Airlines (PAL) has taken delivery of its fourth Airbus A350-1000.
The aircraft, registered RP-C3513, touched down at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) at 19:22 local time on September 2, 2026, following a delivery flight from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France.
The aircraft, registered RP-C3513, is the fourth of nine A350-1000s the airline ordered in 2023 as part of its fleet modernization and international growth strategy.
PAL remains the first and only carrier in Southeast Asia to operate the type.
PAL’s flagship long-haul aircraft
The A350-1000 serves as PAL’s flagship for long-haul operations, configured in a 382-seat, three-class layout.
Business class features private suites with sliding privacy doors, while a dedicated premium economy cabin and an enhanced economy class product round out the offering.
The aircraft also delivers improved fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and stronger operational performance compared with previous-generation types.
The aircraft is currently deployed on key international routes, including San Francisco, New York, and Toronto, supporting the airline’s broader mission of connecting the Philippines to the world.
Farnborough commitments signal broader fleet expansion through 2036
The delivery comes as PAL continues to build out its future fleet.
During the Farnborough International Airshow in June 2026, the airline signed Memoranda of Understanding for nine additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, with purchase rights for five more, as well as 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with options for an additional five. Deliveries under those agreements are expected through 2036.
Combined with its current orders, the commitments signal PAL’s confidence in the long-term growth of air travel and its intent to operate one of the most modern and fuel-efficient fleets in the region.
PAL holds APEX Four Star status and was recognized by Cirium for the highest on-time performance among Asia Pacific carriers in 2025. In 2026, the airline was officially invited to join the oneworld alliance.
