REGENT Craft, the Rhode Island startup developing a wing-in-ground family of maritime vehicles, announced on August 27, 2026, that it has closed a $240 million Series B funding round.
This new capital round consists of equity and debt in equal parts. It has been led by Mare Liberum and AE Ventures, two venture capital firms strongly focused on investing in projects and technologies of strategic significance for defense and national security. Some of the existing investors, such as Founders Fund, Caffeinated Capital, Lockheed Martin Ventures, Japan Airlines, and Giant Step Capital, have also participated in this round.
Erebor Bank, a financial institution established by Palmer Luckey, who is also the founder of emerging defense giant Anduril, has arranged the debt part of the deal.
The amount raised in this round more than doubles the total raised by REGENT Craft to date, from around $100 million to $340 million.
In the press release announcing the investment, REGENT Craft stated that these funds will support the company’s further growth as it gears up to hit some major milestones.
These include the first human flight of its Viceroy Seaglider (a wing-in-ground civilian vehicle for up to 12 passengers); the start of industrial production at the company’s future manufacturing plant in Rhode Island, which is currently being built; and the pursuit of several defense-related projects, such as the Squire unmanned seaglider.
