STARLUX Airlines to lease eight Airbus A321neo jets from BOC Aviation

STARLUX Airlines has informed the Taiwan Stock Exchange of its intention to lease eight Airbus A321neo jets from BOC Aviation (UK).

In an update posted on Taiwan’s Market Observation Post System (MOPS), STARLUX stated that each Airbus A321neo is priced at around $81.25 million.

A decision to announce the lease agreement to the market was confirmed by the board of directors on March 10, 2026.

According to ch-aviation, STARLUX’s current active fleet already includes 13 A321neos, with six more of the aircraft type yet to be delivered.

In addition, STARLUX’s all-Airbus fleet also operates six A330neos, nine A350-900s and a single A350-1000.

The chairman and founder of STARLUXs, Chang Kuo-Wei delivered the airline’s first Airbus A350-1000 aircraft on January 6, 2026, following a 13-hour flight from Toulouse Blagnac Airport (TLS).

A further 17 A350-1000s are set to join STARLUX including two with a liquid metal livery designed by Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama.

Dubbed AIRSORAYAMA, Sorayama has adopted his distinctive style usings a metallic aesthetic to create one aircraft designed in gold and the other in silver.

The silver A350-1000 was recently spotted at the Airbus facility in Toulouse. Both aircraft are expected to join the STARLUX fleet in the third quarter of 2026.
