Shohin Airlines, a new airline based in Tajikistan, has been revealed as the acquirer of four A32neo family aircraft (two A320neos and two A321neos). The aircraft were included in Airbus’ latest order book as belonging to an ‘undisclosed customer’.
The order was disclosed by Airbus on July 21, 2026, during the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow.
The exact details of the order delivery schedule have not yet been disclosed, although the European manufacturer has shared that Shohin Airlines’ A320neo aircraft will be configured for up to 176 passengers, while the A321neo will feature 196 seats, both in a dual class layout.
“The A320neo Family aircraft will form the backbone of our airline’s modern, efficient, and environmentally sustainable fleet (…),” said Zafar Ahmadzoda, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shohin Airlines, in a press release announcing the order. “We are confident that our partnership with Airbus will provide a solid foundation for Shohin Airlines’ long-term growth and the successful implementation of our strategy to build a world-class airline.”
The privately-owned Central Asian carrier was established in 2025 and while its activity is currently centered on offering on-demand helicopter flights, it has ambitions to develop a scheduled commercial network out of Dushanbe International Airport (DYU). According to the carrier’s website, it is preparing to launch passenger operations soon and lists Moscow, Delhi, Astana, and Dubai as potential destinations.
Once launched, Shohin Airlines will be competing with two other Tajik carriers offering international services out of Dushanbe, national carrier Tajik Air and Somon Air, which, like Shohin Airlines, is also privately-owned.
