10 Injured After Lufthansa Airplane Catches Fire At Frankfurt Airport

The Lufthansa Airbus A340 airplane that was waiting for its flight to Philadelphia, caught fire and was badly damaged. The accident happened on Monday at the Frankfurt Airport. The fire started on a truck that was parked nearby and soon spread to the nose of the plane.

 

Fortunately, there were no passengers on the aircraft. However, ten people that included ground staff and firefighters, have been taken to the hospital. There were no major injuries apart from complaints about irritation in respiratory tracts that were caused by the smoke.

The reason for the incident is not yet known, although the situation is under investigation. Although the fire was taken down immediately and did not cause any serious damage for the working personnel, it damaged the Lufthansa Airbus A340 airplane pretty badly. However, the situation did not cause any disruptions at the busiest airport in Germany.
