Recruitment Director

We are looking for an experienced, talented and international recruitment director to develop our recruitment agency and job board as the aviation industry starts to recover.  You will be a self-motivated professional with a proven track record running a recruitment business and leading and developing an excellent team.  You’ll be passionate about aviation and have a good understanding of the sector and the challenges it faces.  You’ll be responsible for supporting and developing our recruitment team and growing the business, hiring new staff to meet the demand of the industry as it hires pilots, cabin crew, engineers and all other roles in the years ahead.  Reporting to the CEO, you will have experience on the global stage and be used to managing regional requirements and business cultures and you will have a passion for building a business with strategic planning, customer relations and product development at the core. In addition to being an excellent communicator and leader, our preferred candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and planning skills. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Your main task will be to lead, train and motivate our recruitment team, hiring new professionals, developing and growing our business, our customer service and our targeted approach, always looking for new opportunities to expand.  You’ll design and implement recruitment products and strategies to enhance our business globally and assess the market potential as the aviation industry recovers from the covid period.  We want to embrace the most effective recruitment methods and offer enhanced services to our clients as they look for the best people for their business. 

 

  • You’ll be responsible for developing the recruitment business strategy and building excellent relationships with our existing and new key clients around the globe, developing the required marketing strategies in conjunction with our other business units. You’ll produce accurate budgets and targets and the strategy to deliver then, always with one eye on the global market and our main competitors.  You’ll have the experience to manage and control the full recruitment process, adding consultancy and advisory services to our clients to help them make the best decisions. 

 

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar international role 
  • Experience leading an international team within a matrix structure  
  • Knowledge and previous experience of the digital media/aviation sectors is beneficial but not essential   
  • Strong analytical abilities and results focus 
  • Experience of building business development with industry connections and networks 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation and negotiation skills, creativity 
  • Computer and modern business practice literacy 
  • Ability to partner with internal leaders to develop business strategy, marketing, finance etc. 
  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment, marketing techniques and best practices. 
  • Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
