Vietnam Airlines has taken the delivery of its 10th Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the 25th of November 2016. The airline took delivery of its first 787 Dreamliner in July 2015 and has nine more 787s on order.

Phan Xuan Duc, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, said: "The 787 is one of the keys to our fleet expansion plans, and plays a vital role in enabling us to offer customers four-star quality of service and establish Vietnam Airlines among the leading carriers in Asia."

Dinesh Keskar, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific & India Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, commented: "The 787 Dreamliner has enabled Vietnam Airlines to profitably operate key routes such as Hanoi to Heathrow and Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney, while providing their customers with the best passenger experience available."

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), an aircraft leasing company based in Dubai, announced it has delivered its first Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Vietnam Airlines under a sale and leaseback agreement covering three Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The remaining two aircraft are scheduled to deliver in the next three months.
 

The aircraft manufacturer claimed tha Dreamliner is an all-new, super-efficient family of commercial airplanes that brings big-jet ranges and speed to the middle of the market.

Vietnam Airlines now operates a fleet of 90 aircraft, including 10 Dreamliners.
