Thai carrier Bangkok Airways announced that it has welcomed its two latest ATR72-600s at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) on April 20, 2017.

These 70-seater ATR72-600 aircraft are the last two from a total of nine Bangkok Airways from ATR Manufacturer in France.

According to the airline, the aircraft will be serving both domestic and international routes of Bangkok Airways such as Phuket, Sukhothai, Trat, Lampang, Luang Prabang, Yangon (Myanmar), Mandaley and Siem Reap (Cambodia).

Currently, Bangkok Airways’ fleet consists of 36 aircrafts, including 6 ATR72-500s, 9 ATR72-600s, 12 A319s and 9 A320s, for serving flights to 28 destinations.

According to ATR, the ATR 72-600 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M and has a maximum flight range with full passenger load within 900 nautical miles (1,665 km).
