AWAS and Air Guilin announced the completion of lease agreements for two Airbus A320 aircraft. The planes will be delivered in 2018 and are part of a direct order AWAS has with Airbus.
Both aircraft will come equipped with CFM 56-5B4/3 PIP engines.
This latest addition to the Air Guilin A320 family fleet will assist the carrier as it looks to capitalize on China’s increasing domestic demand for leisure and business air travel. Air Guilin currently operates Airbus A319 and A320 airplanes and expects to significantly increase their fleet size by the end of 2018.
AWAS is an aircraft leasing company, headquartered in Dublin, with offices in New York, Miami, and Singapore, AWAS. It has 232 aircraft placed with over 90 customers in 46 countries.
Air Guilin is Chinese airline based at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport in Guangxi. It is a joint venture between Guilin Tourism Development and HNA Group subsidiary Guilin Aviation Tourism Group. Currently, it operates a fleet of three Airbus A319-100.
