Aeroflot Group to lease 3 Sukhoi Superjet 100
On October 27, 2017, the Aeroflot Group announced its plan to lease three new Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional planes. The deal will be signed between Aeroflot, VEB-Leasing and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA). As a result of the agreement, three Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft will be introduced into Aeroflot fleet. The decision was made at the Board of Directors meeting held on September 26, 2017.
The aircraft will be delivered in October-November 2017. The delivery dates may be amended or extended. This transaction is part of the planned delivery of 20 new SSJ 100 aircraft to Aeroflot’s fleet.
Earlier on October 4, 2017, Aeroflot announced the delivery of two new Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with aerodynamic wing-tips known as Sharklets.
Aeroflot is Russia’s flagship carrier. It serves 1,074 destinations in 177 countries worldwide. In 2016, Aeroflot carried 29 million passengers.
