On the 28th of October, the Chinese Air Force announced it would demonstrate its J-20 stealth jet fighter at the 11th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, which will take place in Zhuhai on the 1st – 11th of November, 2016.

Analysts around the globe are polarized by the new jet. Some experts that have already seen pictures of the J-20 think that the People’s Republic has exceeded all expectations in creating a counterpart to Lockheed Martin’s F-22 Raptor. Other specialists are more skeptical, especially due to the reported difficulty China is having in developing next generation engines.

All in all, an indigenous fifth generation stealth jet is necessary for China to develop the ability to carry out military operations outside its borders.

AECC has registered capital of $7.5 billion, will employ around 95,000 workers and will focus on development, design, and testing of new engines
