Passenger plane slides off the taxiway in Moscow
It is not only the cars that are sliding the slippery roads during the chilly-weather in Eastern Europe. The passenger plane by Latvian carrier Air Baltic has slid off the taxiway after landing in Moscow, Russia on December 6, 2017.
Air Baltic confirms that on December 6, 2017 its flight BT428 with Boeing 737-500 from Riga (Latvia) to Moscow (Russia), slid of the taxiway during taxiing after the landing due to “heavy winds and slippery taxiway”.
According to the airline, the passengers and crew were not harmed and the aircraft has no visual defects. After the incident, all passengers have been transported to the terminal while the aircraft was towed to the stand for the inspection.
