Colombian flag carrier Avianca has signed a sale and leaseback agreement for 12 Airbus A320neos with Singapore-based lessor BOC Aviation.
On September 10, 2026, BOC Aviation confirmed that it had agreed to purchase 12 Airbus A320neo aircraft from Airbus for long-term lease to Avianca.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and will all be powered by CFM LEAP 1A engines.
According to ch-aviation data, Avianca is currently waiting for delivery of 77 A320neos. Its current active fleet includes 26 A320neos, with a further 21 on wet lease.
Avianca, also known as Aerovías del Continente Americano, is the largest airline in Colombia and part of UK-based Abra Group.

BOC Aviation has around 50 A320neos on order and just under 300 aircraft on order in total, according to ch-aviation.
