Azul Conecta, the regional feeder operation of Brazilian carrier Azul Airlines, confirmed on June 24, 2026, that it will induct Cessna 408 SkyCourier aircraft into its fleet.

This 19-seater aircraft will complement the airline’s current fleet, which, as of June 2026, consists entirely of Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft.

Although both are made by the same manufacturer, Textron’s Cessna, the twin-engined SkyCourier represents a significant step up from the single-engined Grand Caravan, which only carries up to nine passengers.

The entry into service of the new aircraft type was confirmed by the President-Director of Azul Conecta, Vitor Cordeiro Silva, via a post on LinkedIn.

This development is not entirely unexpected after several media outlets reported that Azul Conecta was evaluating the SkyCourier for its operations in May 2026.

From the information shared by Cordeiro Silva, it can be expected that Azul Conecta will deploy the new aircraft type primarily in northern Brazil, connecting small communities in this vast region to Azul’s mainline operation at the region’s major airports.
