On August 25, 2026, Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced that the Phenom 300EV obtained triple certification, from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC), the United States (FAA), and the European Union (EASA).
Launched in July 2025 and capable of carrying four passengers, the Phenom 300EV is an evolution of Embraer’s popular light jet family and offers some upgraded capabilities compared to the previous two generations of this type of aircraft, the Phenom 300E, which was certified in 2020, and the original Phenom 300, which entered service in 2009.
While the new model presents several incremental improvements over the Phenom 300E, such as increased payload and slightly longer range (from 2,010 nautical miles to 2,055 nautical miles or 3,722 to 3,806 km), its most eye-catching new feature is the availability of the Garmin Autoland system, which will be embedded by default.
The Garmin Autoland is a safety feature which makes it possible to land the aircraft automatically at the closest airport in case the pilot becomes incapacitated during the flight. The Phenom 300EV will be the first aircraft in the light jet category and the largest jet aircraft so far to be equipped with this new generation safety system.
The new Phenom 300EV will also be line-fitted with Gogo Galileo’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity, with Starlink as an optional addition.
The first deliveries of Phenom 300EV jets to customers are planned for 2028.
