Ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines is getting cozy this Christmas with the unveiling of a stunning Airbus A320-200 dressed in a Santa-endorsed festive jumper.
It’s safe to say that 2025 has not been the best year for Spirit Airlines with the carrier having to accept huge structural and operational changes as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings that began in August.
However, it’s good to see Spirit getting into the spirit of things this Christmas despite the challenges the company and staff have faced and are still set to face in the future.
Unveiling the new livery on December 18, 2025, Spirit said that the 11-year-old A320 is “styling a holiday sweater with snowman and gingerbread man designs”.
According to Spirit, the aircraft will take to the skies throughout the winter season as the carrier prepares to connect family and friends across more than 8,900 flights.
“Delivering the best value on travel means even more when it brings families and friends together for the holidays,” said Rana Ghosh, Senior Vice President and CCO at Spirit Airlines. “We can’t wait to welcome our Guests on board this holiday season and continue connecting them to the people and places they love most in 2026.”
Spirit singled out December 19, 22, 26, 2025, and January 2 and 5, 2026, as its busiest days over the festive holidays.
