The biggest aviation event of the year (sorry Paris) is finally here as the opening day of the Dubai Airshow 2025 swings into action today.

The exhibition stands are up, the planes are in, the business attire is on, and attendees are ready to network with friends and colleagues, sample a few flight shows and check out the incredible aircraft.

The five-day event starts on November 17, 2025, at Dubai World Central (DWC) with tens of thousands of people expected to attend and hundreds of deals ready to be signed off.

And of course, AeroTime will be on the ground at the event as an official media partner of Dubai Airshow 2025 to bring you all the latest and breaking news.

One of the key parts of any large air show is the commercial aircraft orders with many airlines saving announcements for the biggest stage.

As the world’s most important aircraft manufacturers, Airbus and Boeing are expected to be front and center of many of the eye-catching headlines.

Speculation and rumors are already swirling around which airlines are likely to place an order at this year’s event.

Boeing are perhaps at a slight disadvantage to Airbus this year after US President Donald Trump made it his mission over the last six months to secure aircraft orders as part of tariff negotiations with several countries.

With nothing confirmed until its confirmed, these are the three aircraft orders that appear most likely to come to fruition this year:

  • Etihad Airways are likely contenders to order Airbus A350 and A330neo aircraft. (Reuters)
  • Dubai darlings Emirates are tipped to order 30 Airbus A350-1000 widebody planes. (Bloomberg)
  • Flydubai is reportedly considering an order for both Airbus and Boeing planes. (Bloomberg)
